Stickers/parking permits
Ville de Montréal offers residents of some sectors reserved parking spaces for the
following reasons: the density of the population, heavy business activity, snow-clearing
operations in narrow streets, or for the convenience of disabled persons. In order to take
advantage of these reserved spaces, residents must obtain a permit.
This permit is reserved exclusively for residents living in sectors designated “SRRR”
(permis sur rue réservé aux résidants). It takes the form of a self-adhesive sticker that
must be placed at the top left corner of the vehicle’s rear window.
A single permit is issued per resident.
Where to apply?
The stickers are available in Accès Montréal offices.
An application form must be completed there.

Supporting documents
The applicant must supply three (3) supporting documents to obtain the permit:
The registration certificate of the vehicle;
The insurance certificate of the vehicle, which mentions by name that the
applicant is, in fact, the principal driver and lives at the address for which the
permit is requested;
Proof of residence in the sector concerned. The only acceptable proof is a bill
from Bell Canada, Hydro-Québec, Gaz Métropolitain, Vidéotron or an
educational institution.
Renewal of the SRRR permit
During the summer, a renewal notice is mailed to the holder. Please return it by mail with
the amount covering the costs and photocopies of the supporting documents required.
Payment can be made by cheque, bank money order or postal money order, made out to
Ville de Montréal.
The “Rue étroite” sticker is free. It allows exclusive parking on much of the left side of
streets designated as narrow, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
It also provides access to off-street parking lots rented by Ville de Montréal to
accommodate the vehicles of residents of narrow streets at night (according to the schedule determined by the owners of these parking lots) during snow-removal operations.
The “Rue étroite” sticker must be placed at the top left corner of the rear window of the
vehicle.
